Meet Jasmine M. McKinney

Jasmine M. McKinney is a children’s author, storyteller, singer, songwriter, and creative who believes imagination can open doors to confidence, possibility, and self-discovery. Through her books, she creates stories that invite young readers to dream without limits, embrace what makes them unique, and find strength in their own voice.

As the creator of JMM StoryVerse, Jasmine is building more than a collection of books, she’s creating a universe where magical adventures and real-life journeys can exist side by side. Her stories celebrate wonder, courage, creativity, kindness, and the many different experiences that shape who children are becoming.

Jasmine’s passion for uplifting others extends beyond storytelling. As Founder and CEO of The Step Up Program, she leads a nonprofit serving women, children, and families experiencing homelessness in Cincinnati, providing resources, support, and opportunities for a fresh start.

Whether through a story, a song, or service to her community, Jasmine creates with one purpose at heart: to leave people feeling seen, loved, and inspired.
